There she meets Nate Fury, a boat captain, and is swept away. Megan also discovers Grandfather Calhoun's old journals and is able to uncover some family secrets. Boy and Girl meet, they can't stand each other, then they fall in love. Long, drawn out 'romance' Really a turn off when the man says "You will be mine" and the woman resists for 2 seconds.

I definitly think that Holt and Suzanna's story was my favorite and the most connected to Bianca and Christian story. I loved how Suzanna's life was similar to Bianca's in the way of a loveless, abusive marriage, and how Holt was Christian's gradson, and just like Christian wanted to save Bianca, Holt wants to save Suzanna.
I love how tough he is andhow he tried not to show his weakness for Alex and Jenny and family. I love that Suzanna is the one to solve Bianca's mystery because she deserved i I definitly think that Holt and Suzanna's story was my favorite and the most connected to Bianca and Christian story.
I love that Suzanna is the one to solve Bianca's mystery because she deserved it. I love that Christian's painting of Bianca was placed in The Towers and how after Holt proposed they talked to the kids, and Jenny asked to call Holt Daddy, and he and Suzanna loved it and wanted more kids.
I loved how Holt helped Suzanna through the week that Baxter took the kids and they had their time alone,a nd then Holt beat up Baxter when he came back. Overall, my favorite! Megan is Sloan's sister and I love that we get another story, because we get to see all four sisters with their babies and their business underway. Also, Nathan was great and how he connected with Kevin was adorable.
I though Megan was somewhat cold, but her back story causes that and it's understandable. I loved how Kevin, Alex, and Jenny got along, and how after Coco's matchmaking leaves five couples happy. The Calhouns were great and it makes me want to go to Maine!

Yes this is old Nora, but it is a great story. This was a reread for me and I enjoyed it the second time around very much. This is the last 2 stories in the 5 that involve the Calhoun family.
In Suzanna's Surrender you finally get the oldest sisters story. She had a rough marriage and an even harder divorce. She is raising two kids and working hard at her own gardening business. She gets involved with ex-cop Holt Bradford, who was also the local bad boy in his teens. This is a great love story. Also in this story you have the conclusion to the mystery surrounding the Calhoun's Great Grandmother's tragic death and the missing emeralds.
You also get more details of the love affair between Christian and Bianca, in Christians words. In Megan's Mate you have the story of Calhoun sister in law. This story takes place a year after Suzanna's so you get a nice follow up on the whole family. Megan is a single mother who has closed herself off to love But then she meets Nate Fury and all her walls come crashing down. This is a wonderful conclusion to the Calhoun Family saga. I am not going to review every Nora Roberts book that I have read in the past because she is quite prolific and it would get redundant and I honestly cannot remember all the plots. I think someone finds someone else attractive but at least one cannot admit it so there is sexual tension, then lots of sex, and then they live happily ever after? Sometimes there is some magic , a family legacy, or a mystery. I think I have read every one of her books to date because despite the cheesy nature, the ending is always happy and the read is easy.
Frankly, I like these books and will continue to read each one that comes out. I am going to post this same review for each of her books that I have read in the past.
